Tyson Chandler today on his blog addressed his being traded from the New Orleans Hornets to Charlotte.
“I feel very good about the trade. I’m going to a place that has some good young players, some players that play hard and a great coach in Larry Brown. I’m really excited about the new opportunity to be a part of something that I feel like is on the rise.

The Charlotte Bobcats are finalizing a trade that would send Emeka Okafor to the New Orleans Hornets for Tyson Chandler, according to two people familiar with the deal.

Right now, based on contracts that are going into next season, the New Orleans Hornets have a team payroll of $77.5 million, which is highest in the league.
Ben Wallace
It has been revealed that Ben Wallace could be flipped to New Orleans for Tyson Chandler.
Wallace is an expiring $14 million contract that could also provide the Suns more immediate financial relief with a buyout (although he would still count as a $14 million salary for luxury tax purposes).
Chandler had a procedure on his left ankle to relieve inflammation and another on his left toe, while Posey’s surgery was on his right knee.

For the past 15 games, New Orleans center Tyson Chandler has been sidelined with a knee injury but he finally returned to the starting-lineup last night against the Sacramento Kings in Arco Arena. Chandler finished the game with 15 points and 10 rebounds in 32 minutes of play, and helped propel the Hornets to a 112-105 victory.
Ford Center in Oklahoma
Yesterday, the New Orleans Hornets traded Tyson Chandler to the Oklahoma City Thunder for Chris Wilcox and Joe Smith to clear cap space and add depth to the frontcourt. Thunder medical staff, however, did not medically clear Chandler on Wednesday and therefore rescinded the trade.

The New Orleans Hornets and Oklahoma City Thunder have completed a deal that sends center Tyson Chandler to the Thunder. The Hornets received forwards Joe Smith and Chris Wilcox, both of whom possess expiring contracts, in exchange for their best interior defender.

Hornets General Manager Jeff Bower is rumored to have made a number of phone calls, as well as, received several inquires from general managers on the availability of starting center Tyson Chandler. However, Bower declined Sunday to say whom they might be shopping or could have an interest in obtaining before the Feb. 19 trade deadline.
