Jake Voskuhl
In one of the last roster moves before training camps open, Jake Voskuhl has signed a non-guaranteed contract with the Dallas Mavericks.
His chances of making the Mavs’ roster would appear to be slim, since Dallas already has 16 players with guaranteed contracts even after the recent release of swingman Greg Buckner.

The Dallas Mavericks announced that forward Tim Thomas underwent arthroscopic surgery today to repair torn cartilage in his right knee.
Mavericks’ team physician Dr. T.O. Souryal performed the surgery at Texas Sports Medicine.

Tim Thomas is scheduled to be in Dallas for a face-to-face meeting on Tuesday.
No deal has been finalized, but the Mavericks are expected to make an offer to the free-agent forward following the meeting.

According to a source, Tim Thomas is quietly expressing interest in joining the Boston Celtics.
Thomas spent time with the Clippers, Knicks and Bulls during the 2008-09 season.

Real GM reports that the no-headband rule that was initially implemented by former coach Scott Skiles in Chicago still exists.
John Salmons, Brad Miller and Tim Thomas, who were all acquired by the Bulls last week, have worn headbands during their careers.

Knicks dancers welcoming Hughes.
The New York Knicks have reportedly acquired Larry Hughes from the Chicago Bulls. No, the deal did not include David Lee or Nate Robinson, but Jerome James, Tim Thomas, and Anthony Roberson are on their way to the Bulls.

Los Angeles Clippers
The Los Angeles Clippers have acquired Zach Randolph and Mardy Collins from the New York Knicks for Cuttino Mobley and Tim Thomas.
Zach Randolph has been the Knicks’ leading scorer thus far in the season, as well as, rebounder averaging 20.5 ppg and 12.5 rpg respectively. For the Clippers, the move will primarily give them much needed help in the low post but might also help bolster a fresh new start to the struggling franchise with the addition of two new faces.
