According to sources, the Mavericks are actively pursuing two-for-one trades in hopes of easing the roster logjam before training camp starts Sept. 28, with center Nathan Jawai and swingman Shawne Williams among those being made available.
Larry Bird negotiated the trade for Jones.
It has been reported that veteran swing man Eddie Jones has yet to join the Indiana Pacers.
Jones was acquired in a deal that included shipping Shawne Williams to the Dallas Mavericks for Jones along with $1.9 million and two second round draft picks.
