The Portland Trail Blazers signed rookie forward Jeff Pendergraph, General Manager Kevin Pritchard announced Tuesday.
Also announced on Tuesday, Pendergraph will undergo surgery on Wednesday, Sept. 9, to correct a left hip impingement.

According to a league source, the Blazers have made another late push to acquire David Lee from the Knicks. The problem is that Knick president Donnie Walsh has told teams interested in Lee that he only comes bundled with injured center Eddy Curry.

The New York Knicks are looking at former NBA players Carlos Delfino and Jannero Pargo to fill the roster-spot Cuttino Mobley left behind. They will also consider trades involving current NBA players, with names such as Sacramento’s Quincy Douby and Portland’s Sergio Rodriguez on the list. In the interim, Nate Robinson is scheduled to return tomorrow night in Sacramento to provide some help to Chris Duhon in the backcourt.
