A league source confirmed this morning that the Celtics were trying to set up a meeting with Rasheed Wallace for later today.
The meeting was said to be part of a series of meetings being set up with all of the teams interested in signing the free agent big man. The San Antonio Spurs and the Cleveland Cavaliers were also supposed to meet with Wallace.
Stephen Jackson
When the Warriors faced the Suns last night in Golden State, Stephen Jackson got ejected in the third quarter after receiving his second technical foul in the game. As a result, he will be serving a one-game suspension for surpassing the NBA season limit for technical fouls.
The Detroit Pistons and Jason Maxiell have agreed to a $20 million, four-year contract extension. The deal has not yet been signed on paper but it has been confirmed by a basketball official who in anonymity reported the agreement to the Associated Press on Thursday.
After another disappointing playoff run last year by the Detroit Pistons, many have speculated that Rasheed Wallace will be the first player traded during the offseason. Rumors also circulated after fans noticed that his jersey was not for sale on the Pistons’ website.
NBA Rumors was created by three college grads who played Division III NCAA basketball for Berkeley College. Back then, basketball was our life. A day did not go by without us talking about what was going on in the NBA.
Today, we are all working in our respective industries in Midtown Manhattan. And two years after we graduated, basketball started to fall out of our radar as we started spending more time in the office and less time on the court. Therefore, we created this blog to reunite our passion for the love of NBA and basketball across the world.
We hope that you will enjoy our blog. We are intensively working on our coffee breaks to bring you the best rumors that the NBA has to offer.
Sincerely,
