Mike D’Antoni said yesterday that his rookie selection in this year’s NBA draft, Danilo Gallinari, will not get any significant minutes on the floor in the foreseeable future. As a matter of fact, D’Antoni is only planning on using him in blowout situations until he gets “physically ready”.
It has been reported that Coach Mike D’Antoni will be featured on the Late Show With David Letterman.
Next Tuesday, October 28th, the day before the NBA regular season begins, Coach D’Antoni will present “The Top Ten New York Knicks Promises for the 2008-2009 Season.”
During a recent interview, Eddy Curry said that he regards himself as a started in coach Mike D’Antoni’s fast-paced offense. This, despite, showing up clearly overweight first day at training camp, as well as, coming off a bacterial infection.
One of the most interesting NBA press released today reads the following:
New York Knickerbockers President of Basketball Operations Donnie Walsh announced today that guard Allan Houston has been re-signed as a free agent.
Stephon Marbury’s goal this offseason was to get slimmer and faster for the upcoming season. Thus far, Marbury has shown considerable improvement by loosing 45 pounds — He now weighs in at 200 pounds.
NBA Rumors was created by three college grads who played Division III NCAA basketball for Berkeley College. Back then, basketball was our life. A day did not go by without us talking about what was going on in the NBA.
Today, we are all working in our respective industries in Midtown Manhattan. And two years after we graduated, basketball started to fall out of our radar as we started spending more time in the office and less time on the court. Therefore, we created this blog to reunite our passion for the love of NBA and basketball across the world.
We hope that you will enjoy our blog. We are intensively working on our coffee breaks to bring you the best rumors that the NBA has to offer.
Sincerely,
