Another scenario that would see Shaquille O’Neal leaving Phoenix would be a trade with Chicago involving Luol Deng.
The Bulls would be able to make a little noise in the East with O’Neal in the paint, while also freeing up cap room for 2010.

Even though most sources believe that Carlos Boozer is headed to Detroit in a free-agent deal in July, rumors circulate that there is a chance he will end up going to Toronto in a package for Chris Bosh.

General manager John Paxson said Thursday that Luol Deng will sit for the remainder of the regular season and the first round of the NBA playoffs if the Bulls qualify.

Luol Deng is on the brink of playing his first international basketball game. Great Britain has finally agreed to increase his insurance to cover his lucrative NBA contract and as a result, he will represent the nation at the qualifying games for the European Championship.

Luol Deng and the Chicago Bulls are about to close in on a six year deal worth $70 million that will make him running with the Bulls through 2013.
The Bulls had previously offered Deng a higher extension but he chose to decline it because he wanted to explore other options. When he did not receive any love from around the league, Luol Deng was quick on resuming negotiations with the team that drafted him.

Luol Deng has reportedly given the Chicago Bulls 2 weeks (August 4th) to offer a contract extension or shop him to another team for a sign and trade. If his requests are not met before he leaves for the Great Britain national team, than he will play out the 08-09 season and opt out his final year.

Previously, we reported that Detroit Pistons are looking to make some changes to their roster. Another candidate whom they might trade for, besides T-Mac, is Luol Deng.
Chicago Bulls have had a hard time negotiating any contract extension with the player and they might play it safe by trading him away. In return for Deng, the Bulls have expressed a strong interested for Tayshaun Prince, whom they consider a great replacement. He might not be as vocal as Deng but his experience can surely help the young team in Chicago.
