The New York Knicks have reportedly acquired Larry Hughes from the Chicago Bulls. No, the deal did not include David Lee or Nate Robinson, but Jerome James, Tim Thomas, and Anthony Roberson are on their way to the Bulls.

The Chicago Bulls have been clearly shopping Larry Hughes for a trade before the February 19th deadline. Currently, the most promising trade possibility will be with the Washington Wizards. According to sources, both Etan Thomas and guard Mike James will be traded for Larry Hughes, which some may argue is not the best trade scenario.

It has been reported that the Bulls might be close to trading veteran guard Larry Hughes to the New Jersey Nets for former DePaul forward Bobby Simmons. According to a league source, the teams have had serious trade talks and it is up to the Nets to sign off on the deal.

Larry Hughes has reportedly requested to be traded from Chicago and the Bulls are willing to grant him his wish by the February 19th trading deadline. However, they have made it clear they will not take on extra years or salary to trade him.

The Chicago Bulls’ backcourt has been hit with several injuries early in the season. Kirk Hinrich could be sidelined for up to three months after having thumb surgery and Larry Hughes has still not played this season due to a shoulder injury.
