After negotiating since July 1, Pritchard said talks with Aldridge’s agent, Arn Tellem, took a decided turn for the better this week.

Blazers general manager Kevin Pritchard said that the team is still engaged in contract negotiations with forward LaMarcus Aldridge.
According to Aldridge, the team spoke last weekend with Arn Tellem, Aldridge’s agent. Pritchard said the ongoing status of negotiations has not affected Aldridge’s focus during camp.

LaMarcus Aldridge expressed displeasure and confusion Monday afternoon at the unresolved status of his contract negotiations with the Trail Blazers.
Speaking publicly for the first time since negotiations started in July, Aldridge said at the team’s annual media day that he was stunned the Blazers had not signed him to a long-term contract, particularly considering the prominent role he has played in helping transform the franchise into a contender.

Trail Blazers president Larry Miller said Tuesday that the team is “confident” they will agree to a contract extension with LaMarcus Aldridge.
“It’s a process, as (Blazers general manager) Kevin (Pritchard) has said, and we’re continuing to go through the process. There’s no doubt that we want L.A. here and I’m certain L.A. wants to be here. I’m confident that we’ll get it done at some point, but it’s just going through the process,” Miller told the Columbian.

One is a throwback from the 1970s, when the Blazers name ran vertically down the jersey in lowercase letters. The other alternate uniform has the phrase “Rip City” across the chest.
Sources tell ESPN’s Chad Ford that the two sides are “progressing” toward a deal.
Shaq and Amare may no longer be teammates.
It has been reported that the Phoenix Suns are looking to trade Amare Stoudemire before the February 19th trading deadline.
