The New Jersey Nets have discussed a trade with the Dallas Mavericks that would reunite Vince Carter with Jason Kidd. The proposal includes sending Vince Carter, Keyon Dooling, and Eduardo Najera to Dallas for Josh Howard and Jerry Stackhouse.

It has been rumored that the Raptors and the Mavericks are currently negotiating a blockbuster deal that would send Josh Howard across the Canadian border. Toronto has been on the marker for a small forward the entire season and they might have found the ideal candidate in the former All-Star. If the deal goes through, Dallas would send Howard to Toronto with DeSagana Diop  in return for Andra Bargnani and Anthony Parker.

It has been reported that Josh Howard will be out longer than initially expected following the injury to his left ankle in Charlotte on Nov. 18. The Mavs enlisted Howard as “out indefinitely” prior to Tuesday’s game against San Antonio as there is no expected return date scheduled for the former All-Star.

After a police investigation, Josh Howard was arrested last night when he got caught drag racing in his hometown of North Carolina. Reports say that he was speeding going 94MPH on a 55MPH zone. He was charged with careless, reckless driving and speeding competition. He was released this afternoon on a written promise to appear in court September 23rd.
