Joe Johnson says that the Hawks are focused on trying to win the Central Division this season.
“Definitely. I think it’s right there,” Johnson told the Associated Press, admitting that the team is no longer too young to join Boston, Cleveland and Orlando as the favorites in the East.

The Hawks are working on an extension for Joe Johnson, who could become a free agent next summer.
“FA summer of 2010? Maybe not for ol’ Joe. Sources: Hawks and JJ’s camp talking extension this week in Cali,” Sekou Smith of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution wrote on his Twitter page.
Johnson averaged 21.4 points, 5.8 assists and 4.4 rebounds for the Hawks last season.
