Jameer Nelson’s teammates are saying that the All-Star point guard will play in the NBA Finals.

“I expect to see him out there at some point in the series,” backup guard Anthony Johnson said.

The Orlando Sentinel reports that starting point guard Jameer Nelson, who underwent season-ending shoulder surgery in mid-February, will not return to full basketball activities until August at the earliest.

Update: All-Star point guard Jameer Nelson has a torn labrum in his right shoulder and most likely will be out at least several weeks for the Orlando Magic. The Magic announced in a press release Tuesday that “the course of treatment for the injury will be determined during the next week.”
