Portland center Greg Oden proclaimed on Tuesday that he wants to be the team’s starter.

“[Starting] is very important for me. I love Joel [Przybilla] to death but I want that starting spot,” Oden told Blazers Edge.

The Portland Trail Blazers have introduced a pair of alternate uniforms to commemorate their 40th season as an NBA franchise.

Blazers Throwback Jerseys

One is a throwback from the 1970s, when the Blazers name ran vertically down the jersey in lowercase letters. The other alternate uniform has the phrase “Rip City” across the chest.
