Fabricio Oberto has agreed to sign with the Wizards, according to the Washington Post.
Oberto, who is home in his native Argentina, called Wizards president Ernie Grunfeld on Thursday to inform him that he would accept a one-year deal worth the biannual exception of $1.99 million.

The Wizards have made a contract offer to free-agent center Fabricio Oberto.
Terms of the deal were not reported by the San Antonio Express-News on Monday night.
Real GM reports that the move will save Detroit in their salary cap space pursuits, as Oberto’s contract is non-guaranteed.
