Staples Center
The Los Angeles Lakers have won their 15th NBA Finals in franchise history, defeating the Magic 99-86 in Game 5.
Kobe Bryant scored 30 points on 10-for-23 shooting, while Pau Gasol, Derek Fisher, Lamar Odom and Trevor Ariza all scored in double-figures.
“I understand the officials were trying to get the game under control at that point,” Fisher said. “My intent was to run through the pick hard. He was further away from me than I thought so my arm was up high when I hit them.”

The booing caught Derek Fisher off guard. “It was shocking,” he said the other day, recalling his return to EnergySolutions Arena last season with the Lakers.

Yahoo Sports reports that the Los Angeles Lakers probably are not going to finish with the best record in the NBA. But how important is having the second or third best record in the league? The Lakers need to answer that question before they decide whether or not to rest regulars for the playoff marathon.
Jordan Farmar
Lakers team doctor has announced that Jordan Farmar needs surgery for a torn meniscus in his left knee. The injury, which Farmar sustained after stealing the ball and going for a layup Friday at Miami, has also been confirmed by another Los Angeles based doctor. Farmar now only has to determine the time, date, and doctor for the procedure that could sideline the Lakers guard for up to eight weeks.
NBA Rumors was created by three college grads who played Division III NCAA basketball for Berkeley College. Back then, basketball was our life. A day did not go by without us talking about what was going on in the NBA.
Today, we are all working in our respective industries in Midtown Manhattan. And two years after we graduated, basketball started to fall out of our radar as we started spending more time in the office and less time on the court. Therefore, we created this blog to reunite our passion for the love of NBA and basketball across the world.
We hope that you will enjoy our blog. We are intensively working on our coffee breaks to bring you the best rumors that the NBA has to offer.
Sincerely,
