The Denver Nuggets have suspended Carmelo Anthony for one game for an “in-game transgression” Sunday against Indiana.
“There is a code of conduct that we take very seriously, especially from a leader and co-captain,” Rex Chapman, vice president of player personnel, said Monday. “Carmelo knows this and regrets what happened. He is a very competitive person and made a poor decision in the heat of the moment. We look forward to having him back on Thursday and will have no further comment at this time.”

The Americans were set to face their toughest opposition, yet, in Beijing when they were going up against the Spaniards on Saturday. But for Team USA, it turned out to be a no-show. USA dominated Spain throughout the entire game and recorded its highest margin of victory with an impressive 119 – 82 win.

This morning, the USA Olympic team defeated the Turkish team 114-82. In the first quarter, the Americans started out sloppy allowing 10 straight field goals and were forced to 8 turnovers but the second quarter was a little different when they outscored the Turkish team 23-8. Once the second half started the Americans kept their composure and kept flying high like ducks outscoring Turkey 60-45.
