When Rick Fox got injured toward the end of his career, he would travel with the team, go to practice, whatever. Both times Bynum has been hurt, he has gone off by himself with little to no communication.

The Los Angeles Lakers and Andrew Bynum have agreed to a four-year contract extension worth $58 million. The deal will keep Bynum with the Lakers through the 2012-13 season. If they had not reached an agreement, Bynum would have been a restricted free agent next summer.

For the upcoming season, the Los Angeles Lakers are in need of making some adjustments to their rotation now when Andrew Bynum is healthy. Bynum was sidelined almost the entire second half of the last season and never got an opportunity to play with Pau Gasol, whom the Lakers acquired after the all-star break.

Although, his recovery process was not as easy as initially expected. Bynum had to undergo arthroscopic surgery, rehabilitation in New York, as well as, vigorous training in Atlanta to fully heal his knee.
