Timberwolves forward Al Jefferson says that he is close to full strength following last season’s knee injury.

“I think I’m 90 percent, I really think I can do contact work,” Jefferson told the Star Tribune. “I know for a fact that I will be ready for training camp. I will be 100 percent, nonstop, I’ll go two-a-days.”

Timberwolves star Al Jefferson says that he will definitely be ready for training camp.

“I feel like I could play contact right now,” Jefferson said, according to the Pioneer Press. “The only thing, I know I’m not in shape. If I could play a halfcourt game right now, I would kill you.”

An NBA source said today that Minnesota forward-center Al Jefferson is not being traded to the Suns with the sixth overall pick for Suns All-Star forward Amare Stoudemire.

An NBA executive told the Boston Globe today that the Minnesota Timberwolves is working a deal with the Phoenix Suns that would send former Celtics forward Al Jefferson and their sixth pick in next week’s NBA Draft for All-Star Amare Stoudemire.

Al Jefferson Suffers Season-Ending Injury

Minnesota Timberwolves center Al Jefferson, the cornerstone of the franchise’s rebuilding plan who has emerged as one of the best post players in the league, will miss the rest of the season with a torn ACL in his right knee. The injury comes as devastating news to the organization as things were finally starting to look god after a horrendous first season and a half in the post-Kevin Garnett Era.

The Minnesota Timberwolves reported today that forward Al Jefferson has suffered a mild sprain of the medical collateral ligament in his right knee. An MRI Exam taken yesterday confirmed the injury.

NBA Rumors was created by three college grads who played Division III NCAA basketball for Berkeley College. Back then, basketball was our life. A day did not go by without us talking about what was going on in the NBA.

Today, we are all working in our respective industries in Midtown Manhattan. And two years after we graduated, basketball started to fall out of our radar as we started spending more time in the office and less time on the court. Therefore, we created this blog to reunite our passion for the love of NBA and basketball across the world.
