Two high-placed NBA sources said Tuesday that Amare Stoudemire has little interest in joining the Warriors, especially with a roster he apparently feels would be depleted by the terms of the trade.

Amare Stoudemire’s camp has not heard from any other NBA team about the possibility of acquiring him or any interest in securing his future with a contract extension.

It has been revealed that Ben Wallace could be flipped to New Orleans for Tyson Chandler.
Wallace is an expiring $14 million contract that could also provide the Suns more immediate financial relief with a buyout (although he would still count as a $14 million salary for luxury tax purposes).

An NBA executive told the Boston Globe today that the Minnesota Timberwolves is working a deal with the Phoenix Suns that would send former Celtics forward Al Jefferson and their sixth pick in next week’s NBA Draft for All-Star Amare Stoudemire.

Another scenario that would see Shaquille O’Neal leaving Phoenix would be a trade with Chicago involving Luol Deng.
The Bulls would be able to make a little noise in the East with O’Neal in the paint, while also freeing up cap room for 2010.

NBA Rumors was created by three college grads who played Division III NCAA basketball for Berkeley College. Back then, basketball was our life. A day did not go by without us talking about what was going on in the NBA.
Today, we are all working in our respective industries in Midtown Manhattan.
