Knicks Rated Curry Higher than Rubio

At dinner Friday night I asked Donnie Walsh who he would have selected had he been able to acquire the fourth or fifth spot in last June’s draft: Stephen Curry or Ricky Rubio?

“Curry,” he answered without a pause.

“Not only is he a great shooter but he can get his shot on anyone. Opponents look at his baby face and figure they can manhandle him. Meanwhile he tore up every top-rated guard he went up against at our workout, including Tyreke Evans, who might be the best player in the draft next to Blake Griffin.”

What a bunch of crap that is.

Is that why he offered Wilson Chandler and their #1 for Rubio? They didn’t offer it for the 6th or 7th pick that anyone has heard of. It was for the 5th pick and when RUBIO was gone, so were the trade talks….

Yeah, sure Donnie Walsh, you would have taken Curry over Rubio (the top rated PG).

If anyone believes that, Donnie Walsh has a bridge to sell you.
