Pietrus: I Was Not Trying To Be A Jerk

Magic guard Mickael Pietrus did not receive a fine or suspension for flagrantly fouling Pau Gasol in the closing seconds of Game 4.

However, he has still had to answer a multitude of questions from the media.

“I wasn’t trying to be a jerk,” Pietrus said.

“I’ve been in the NBA for seven years and have never been considered a dirty player. It was just a hard foul and I love Pau; we’ve played so many times together in Europe. That’s how it is.”

NBA Rumors was created by three college grads who played Division III NCAA basketball for Berkeley College. Back then, basketball was our life. A day did not go by without us talking about what was going on in the NBA.

Today, we are all working in our respective industries in Midtown Manhattan. And two years after we graduated, basketball started to fall out of our radar as we started spending more time in the office and less time on the court.
