Celtics Not Trading Ray Allen

Despite rumors to the contrary, an NBA executive said there has been “zero” trade discussion regarding Ray Allen, who will be a free agent in 2010, and that such talk is “preposterous.”

Another NBA executive said, “I’m not really hearing that. But I would expect that kind of rumor. They did not win without KG [Kevin Garnett], he was hot and cold in the [playoffs], and he’s a last-year guy. Upgrade if you can. It would make some type of sense.”

NBA Rumors was created by three college grads who played Division III NCAA basketball for Berkeley College. Back then, basketball was our life. A day did not go by without us talking about what was going on in the NBA.

Today, we are all working in our respective industries in Midtown Manhattan. And two years after we graduated, basketball started to fall out of our radar as we started spending more time in the office and less time on the court.
