Bill Russell believes Stephon Marbury can continue to help the Celtics in the playoffs — if he is able to get over what the Knicks did to him.

“But you don’t know how much he’s been damaged psychologically playing here.”

When asked if he thought the point guard indeed had been “damaged psychologically” by the Knicks, Russell said: “He may have been. No matter how strong you are, that kind of stuff that went on this season was so ridiculous.”

NBA Rumors was created by three college grads who played Division III NCAA basketball for Berkeley College. Back then, basketball was our life. A day did not go by without us talking about what was going on in the NBA.

Today, we are all working in our respective industries in Midtown Manhattan. And two years after we graduated, basketball started to fall out of our radar as we started spending more time in the office and less time on the court.
