Thaddeus Young
The Philadelphia 76ers were already preparing to finish the regular season without Thaddeus Young even before the MRI results Wednesday confirmed that he will miss the next two to three weeks with a sprained right ankle and bone bruise.
The regular season ends April 15, and the playoffs begin three days later, meaning Young could have played his last game of the season. Young suffered the injury when he landed on the foot of Atlanta Hawks forward Josh Smith in the first quarter of the Sixers’ 98-85 win Tuesday.
X-rays showed the ankle was not fractured, and a Sixers spokesperson said it was not a more serious high ankle sprain, either.
