Boston Celtics coach Doc Rivers says there is a strong possibility that Kevin Garnett will miss the whole postseason. The All-Star forward injured his right knee on Feb. 19, and has only played sparingly in four games since.

Garnett had been recovering with an eye towards the playoffs, but Rivers said he had to shut Garnett down at practice and “there’s no way” he could play right now.

“He’s not going to be ready. After watching him practice, there’s no way,” Rivers said on WEEI-AM. “The way I saw him move today, I don’t know if he’ll be ready.”

Rivers also said that Garnett was frustrated but understood that it was the right thing to do. The defending NBA champions begin the best-of-seven first round series against the Chicago Bulls on Saturday.

About Us

NBA Rumors was created by three college grads who played Division III NCAA basketball for Berkeley College. Back then, basketball was our life. A day did not go by without us talking about what was going on in the NBA.

Today, we are all working in our respective industries in Midtown Manhattan. And two years after we graduated, basketball started to fall out of our radar as we started spending more time in the office and less time on the court. Therefore, we created this blog to reunite our passion for the love of NBA and basketball across the world.

We hope that you will enjoy our blog. We are intensively working on our coffee breaks to bring you the best rumors that the NBA has to offer.

Sincerely,
