Jermaine O’Neal Done w. Basketball?

One veteran NBA scout’s view after watching Jermaine O’Neal (five points, two rebounds) in Game 1 against Atlanta: “He didn’t even look into it, wasn’t ready for the ball on passes. You’ve got to show some emotion in the playoffs. He looks shot.”

The Heat is 13-15 with O’Neal in the lineup, including 1-9 on the road against playoff teams.

O’Neal, hoping for more post-up chances on offense, blames his lack of rebounding on the loss of ”mobility and explosion” from an early season knee injury.
