When Jerry Sloan was asked about Milwaukee’s Charlie Villanueva getting scolded by coach Scott Skiles for using Twitter during halftime, the 66-year-old Jazz coach first had to be told what it was before realizing what had been done wrong.

“I don’t follow that,” Sloan said. “I don’t even have a computer. I don’t know how to turn one on. I don’t know what you’re talking about. I’m going to be totally honest. How would you do that?”

Told it could be done with a mobile phone, Sloan, who was raised in a tiny, remote Illinois town, got even more confused.

“I have a phone,” he said, “but I don’t know how to use it that way. . . . See, I grew up without a telephone until I was a junior in high school. And I’ve always been intimidated by that stuff.”

About Us

NBA Rumors was created by three college grads who played Division III NCAA basketball for Berkeley College. Back then, basketball was our life. A day did not go by without us talking about what was going on in the NBA.

Today, we are all working in our respective industries in Midtown Manhattan. And two years after we graduated, basketball started to fall out of our radar as we started spending more time in the office and less time on the court. Therefore, we created this blog to reunite our passion for the love of NBA and basketball across the world.

We hope that you will enjoy our blog. We are intensively working on our coffee breaks to bring you the best rumors that the NBA has to offer.

Sincerely,
