Three anonymous sources have revealed that the Indiana Pacers and the Charlotte Bobcats are negotiating a multiplayer trade highlighted by a swap between Jamaal Tinsley and Raymond Felton. The discussions have been ongoing for weeks while the scope of the trade has gradually been changing.
The current proposal would send Tinsley, Jeff Foster and a third player (Brandon Rush, Stephen Graham, Marquis Daniels) to the Bobcats in exchange for Felton, Nazr Mohammed and Sean May. The Bobcats appear to be more keen on pushing for the trade because the Pacers insist on excluding Nazr Mohammed from the deal.
However, another source cited that the Pacers should not hesitate too much on pulling the trigger — other than the Bobcats, only one other team has shown interest in acquiring Jamaal Tinsley. The former star point guard from Iowa State has two years remaining on his contract after this season for $7.2 million and $7.5 million, making the task of moving him even more difficult for Indiana president Larry Bird.
