Memphis Acquires & Waives Livingston

The Miami Heat announced today that they have traded guard Shaun Livingston and cash considerations to the Memphis Grizzlies for a 2012 conditional second round draft pick. However, one hour later, Grizzlies General Manager and Vice President of Basketball Operations Chris Wallace announced that Shaun Livingston has been waived from his contract. There is no official word on why the Heat traded Livingston to the Grizzlies as of yet.

Livingston averaged 2.3 points and 1.0 assists in 10.3 minutes in four games with Miami. He signed with the Heat as a free agent on Oct. 3, 2008.

NBA Rumors was created by three college grads who played Division III NCAA basketball for Berkeley College. Back then, basketball was our life. A day did not go by without us talking about what was going on in the NBA.

Today, we are all working in our respective industries in Midtown Manhattan. And two years after we graduated, basketball started to fall out of our radar as we started spending more time in the office and less time on the court.
