NBA Noise reported that the 2009 All-Star game uniforms were recently unveiled by Men’s Fitness. The new uniforms have a digital / futuristic type of text for the team names and numbers. Both home and away uniforms have horizontal lines on the side panels, with the home uniforms fading from yellow to red, and the away uniforms fading from dark blue to light.

Apparently the horizontal lines were intended “to resemble Arizona’s rock formations, while the progression of color is emblematic of the legendary bird rising from the flames.” Another interesting note about these uniforms is that they were 31% lighter than the typical NBA uniform. That should bode well for some high-flying action in this year’s contest.
