The Minnesota Timberwolves announced yesterday that Corey Brewer will miss the rest of the season because of a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee.
Brewer suffered the injury during Saturday night’s 106-97 loss to the Denver Nuggets at Target Center. Coach Randy Wittman informed his team about the injury before the morning shootaround for Monday night’s 100-90 loss to the Charlotte Bobcats and said Brewer and his defense will be missed.
“It hurts us, obviously,” Wittman said. “That’s what he had been providing us. It hurts us, but again I’ve got confidence that we’ve got guys that can come in and pick up those minutes in a quality way.”
