According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, the 76ers fired head coach Maurice Cheeks and appointed Tony DiLeo as the interim coach. Tony is also currently serving as the Sixers Senior Vice President and Assistant General Manager.
The 76ers have struggled at the first quarter of the season, starting at a surprising 9-14.
Cheeks was in his fourth season as Sixers head coach. He had an overall record of 122-147.
NBA Rumors was created by three college grads who played Division III NCAA basketball for Berkeley College. Back then, basketball was our life. A day did not go by without us talking about what was going on in the NBA.
