In addition to trading for Allen Iverson, the Detroit Pistons made another attempt to strengthen their backcourt yesterday.
According to ESPN’s Chad Ford, the Pistons agreed on a 3 year extension with shooting guard Richard Hamilton. The deal is expected to be worth $34 million, with the first two years guaranteed. The third year will be only be a partial guarantee.
“We definitely wanted Rip in the fold as we continue to make this run,” coach Michael Curry told ESPN. “He’s a valuable piece to this puzzle.”
