If Isiah Thomas is looking for a job reference, he better not look to Magic Johnson. Magic has stated that he will not make the same mistake twice and recommend Isiah for a front office job or coaching position in the National Basketball Association.

Johnson suggested to the New York Knicks five years ago that they should give Isiah a chance and hire him. Thomas, a Hall of Fame guard, was subsequently fired by the Knicks last year as the team suffered their seventh straight losing season.

“At that time I thought he was the best one available,” said Johnson, also a member of the Hall of Fame. “If the circumstances were still the same, yes, I would do it again. But if it was now, probably I wouldn’t because of the track record he has. Sometimes people are good at their job and sometimes people fail at it.”

About Us

NBA Rumors was created by three college grads who played Division III NCAA basketball for Berkeley College. Back then, basketball was our life. A day did not go by without us talking about what was going on in the NBA.

Today, we are all working in our respective industries in Midtown Manhattan. And two years after we graduated, basketball started to fall out of our radar as we started spending more time in the office and less time on the court. Therefore, we created this blog to reunite our passion for the love of NBA and basketball across the world.

We hope that you will enjoy our blog. We are intensively working on our coffee breaks to bring you the best rumors that the NBA has to offer.

Sincerely,
