It looks as if Al Harrington’s days are numbered in the bay area after being benched in the second half of last night’s game versus the Denver Nuggets.

According to sources, the New York Knicks’ president Donnie Walsh is highly interested in acquiring the disgruntled forward, but the Warriors will not make a deal unless it includes David Lee. Negotiations are believed to be still alive and the Knicks may try to bring a third team in the deal, possibly the Charlotte Bobcats.

Donnie’s relationship with Harrington started in 1998, when Walsh drafted the athletic forward/center to the Indiana Pacers.

This is a really tough decision but I would definitely pull the trigger on it. Lee is good but Harrington is better.

I also like Harrington, but Lee is a good soldier a hard worker and a great rebounder. Having said that, I would love to see Harrington running in D’Antoni’s offense. I just don’t like players that demand trades from other teams. Will the Knicks be dealing with that a few years down the road?

About Us

NBA Rumors was created by three college grads who played Division III NCAA basketball for Berkeley College. Back then, basketball was our life. A day did not go by without us talking about what was going on in the NBA.

Today, we are all working in our respective industries in Midtown Manhattan. And two years after we graduated, basketball started to fall out of our radar as we started spending more time in the office and less time on the court. Therefore, we created this blog to reunite our passion for the love of NBA and basketball across the world.

We hope that you will enjoy our blog. We are intensively working on our coffee breaks to bring you the best rumors that the NBA has to offer.
