Larry Bird negotiated the trade for Jones.
It has been reported that veteran swing man Eddie Jones has yet to join the Indiana Pacers.
Jones was acquired in a deal that included shipping Shawne Williams to the Dallas Mavericks for Jones along with $1.9 million and two second round draft picks.
Coach Jim O’Brien said the Pacers “would like him in our camp, and we would like him on our team, unless he decides he doesn’t want to play.”
Jones is expected to make a final decision as early as today whether or not he will become part of the Indiana Pacers organization.
