After being sidelined for 20 months, Shaun Livingston finally played a game of professional game of basketball again when his new team, The Miami Heat, faced the New Orleans Hornets yesterday in a college gym.
“It’s special just to play again, considering where I was,” the 6-foot-7 playmaker said before taking the court at the Mitchell Center on the campus of the University of South Alabama.
Livingston finished the game 5 points, 3 assists, 4 fouls, and 1 turnover in 18 minutes of play. He also admitted that he did feel somewhat fatigued during the game, which is expected for somebody who has been injured for so long. “Just shaking the rust off,” he said.
