A source has confirmed to the CBS station in New York that the police were sent to the home of Isiah Thomas after being informed hat he had overdosed on sleeping pills. The former Knicks’ General Manager and coach is currently being treated at the White Plains Hospital but the severity of his condition is not yet known.
According to Daily News, the police announced that Thomas had consumed about “10 Lunesta sleeping pills”. However, the situation is not deemed to be a suicide attempt.
“We’re not confirming a suicide attempt, just a possible accidental overdose. We’re not getting into the details of what’s going on with the case,” said Harrison police officer Vincent Lanzilotti, according to Newsday.com.
