Greg Oden’s anticipated debut in the NBA did not go as planned when the Blazers were going up against the Lakers yesterday. Just before halftime, Oden hurt his foot and did not return back to play.

The extent of the injury has not yet been determined but Oden will undergo an MRI today to get a more accurate diagnosis of what is currently believed to be a mid-foot sprain. After the game, the rookie center was asked as he met with the media just how much pain he was in.

“It’s just a little tender,” he said.
How about his frame of mind?
“It’s a little out there,” he admitted.
Could he think of anything more disastrous than getting hurt his first game back?
“Yeah,” he nodded. “Us losing by 20.”

Oden was scoreless on 0-for-4 shooting in 13 minutes, but he did have five rebounds.

About Us

NBA Rumors was created by three college grads who played Division III NCAA basketball for Berkeley College. Back then, basketball was our life. A day did not go by without us talking about what was going on in the NBA.

Today, we are all working in our respective industries in Midtown Manhattan. And two years after we graduated, basketball started to fall out of our radar as we started spending more time in the office and less time on the court. Therefore, we created this blog to reunite our passion for the love of NBA and basketball across the world.

We hope that you will enjoy our blog. We are intensively working on our coffee breaks to bring you the best rumors that the NBA has to offer.

Sincerely,
