It sounds as if Baron Davis will not be in action during the Golden State Warriors’ season opener against the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday.
Davis has missed seven games of the pre-season and much of Sunday’s practice due to partially tearing a ligament in his left ring finger. Since then, the 29 year-old guard has been required to wear a splint on the injured finger. As of right now there isn’t a specific date to when Davis is expected to return, but sources say it won’t be too long.
The Clippers will also be without Marcus Camby, who has been out the entire preseason with a heal bruise and Tim Thomas, who is recovering from a groin injury.
