As Antoine Walker enters his 13th season in the NBA, he will look to fill a new role on the Memphis Grizzlies’ roster.
According to sources, Walker has been told by his coaches that he will not get a lot of playing time this season. The Grizzlies are now one of the youngest teams in the NBA and will look to develop their younger forwards. Darko Milicic, Hakim Warrick and rookie Darrell Arthur all play the same position as Antoine.
“I would have liked the opportunity to play but I understand the state that they’re in. They want to play the young guys,” Walker told Kentucky.com. “I still feel like I’ve got a lot of basketball left in me and I can contribute to a team in the NBA. It’s unfortunate that it’s not working out here. But you have to respect the decision. This team has some good young talent.”
