One of the longest running rumors this summer has been over a suggested trade between New York and Memphis.
Knicks want to get rid of Zach Randolph’s hefty 2-year contract in an attempt to land LeBron James in 2010. The Grizzlies, in turn, have too many guards on the roster and are simply in need of big men who can score.
Inside sources have revealed that the deal now lies entirely in the hands of Knicks president, Donnie Walsh. Interestingly enough, Walsh initially proposed the trade to Memphis but has since begun to hesitate over trading Zach Randolph.
