Yesterday, the Detroit Pistons signed California native Alex Acker. Descriptions of the contract have not yet been released.
In college, Acker played for Pepperdine University and was the 60th overall pick in the 2005 NBA Draft. He did not make the team and was sent to play for the NBA Development League’s Fayetteville Patriots.
Once his stint in the NBDL was over, he was offered a contract by Greek powerhouse Olympiacos. Unfortunately, he never got an opportunity to play with the team due to knee injuries.
Last year, Acker played for AXA FC Barcelona where he averaged 6.7 points and 1.8 rebound per game.
