One of the most interesting NBA press released today reads the following:
New York Knickerbockers President of Basketball Operations Donnie Walsh announced today that guard Allan Houston has been re-signed as a free agent.
So finally, after months (or years?) of speculation, 37-year-old Allan Houston will officially play basketball with the New York Knicks again. Houston has had some serious knee injuries in the past and questions immediately arise if he will be able to fit in with Mike D’Antoni’s fastbreak system?
Even though Houston is not the fastest player on the court, he should still be able to do some damage from the three-point line to the opposing team for 15-20 minutes per game. Perhaps, he will see a similar role as Grant Hill did in Phoenix last year?
