Victory after Game 6 of 2008 Playoffs

NBA veteran, Sam Cassell is expected to retire after the 2008-2009 season. Later this week, he will sign with the Boston Celtics for one more season and then call it quits.

He will not stray too far from the basketball court after retirement. His plans are to exercise his option to become an assistant coach with the Boston Celtics.

Sam, 38, will be playing in his 16th season in the NBA. He won two championships in his first two seasons, and his third as a member with the Boston Celtics.

NBA Rumors was created by three college grads who played Division III NCAA basketball for Berkeley College. Back then, basketball was our life. A day did not go by without us talking about what was going on in the NBA.
