The Portland Trailblazer’s young forward, Channing Frye is expected to miss the start of the regular season due to surgery on his left ankle. The surgery was performed on Monday, September 8th to remove bone spurs in his ankle and the recovery time period is around 10 weeks.
Frye is expected to come off the bench this season and be a key backup for Lamarcus Aldridge. In the interim, Ike Diogu could likely see more time in Frye’s absence.
