P.J. Brown officially retired after winning his 1st NBA Championship with the Celtics last season. Now, the Celtics are trying to convince Brown to come back for another run at the grand prize.
“I tell him that I’ll see him later,” Rivers added. “Hell, even if he couldn’t play I’d put him on our bench and in our locker room. That’s how important he was to our young guys. In that short time, he basically became an invaluable part of that locker room.”
Last season, Brown averaged 2.2 points and 3.8 rebounds per game. But more importantly, wish his veteran experience he was one of the leaders on the team who helped the young guys develop into better players.
