In a recent interview with Vibe Magazine, Hip-Hop mogul Sean Carter, also known as Jay-Z, finally spoke out about his song that was directed at DeShawn Stevenson.
“I had no intention to talk about the DeShawn Stevenson thing. I seen him beatin’ the [expletive] out of LeBron, and he really couldn’t do nothing. I really wanted to inspire LeBron. I sent him the “Blow The Whistle (freestyle)”. The song wasn’t to be released. I sent him the song to get him amped up. I do [expletive] like that. I hit him on the BlackBerry all the way through the playoffs.”
Over the years, Jay-Z and LeBron James have developed a very close friendship and Carter tends to refer to The King as his little brother. It has been suggested that LeBron will strongly consider to play in New York when he becomes a free agent in 2010. However, he might join Sean Carter’s team on the other side of the river in Brooklyn rather than the Knickerbockers.
