The Philadelphia 76′ers had a busy offseason with their new player acquisitions and blockbuster signings. Now, they look to secure their future buy signing Coach Maurice Cheeks to an extension. The terms of the deal were not disclosed, but this is his second extension this year; the first was on February 20th.
Last year, Coach Cheeks finished fourth in votes for coach of the year, taking a young 76′ers team to the playoffs. They eventually lost in the first round to the Detroit Pistons, but put up a fight by extending the series to a game 7.
