Damon “Wauks” away from Milwaukee

It has been reported that shooting guard Damon Jones and the Milwaukee Bucks have mutually parted ways.

Jones who was expected to earn $4.4 million this season will forfeit his contract. Now, he will workout on his own and try to get on another NBA team.

McGrady: Arthritic Left Shoulder

It has been revealed that Tracy McGrady might face another injury-prone season. This time around, there are not any new injuries, but instead, slow recoveries from off-season surgeries. In addition, during Rockets’ media day, it was also announced that McGrady will play through the upcoming season with an arthritic left shoulder.

Pistons Sign Alex Acker

Yesterday, the Detroit Pistons signed California native Alex Acker. Descriptions of the contract have not yet been released.

In college, Acker played for Pepperdine University and was the 60th overall pick in the 2005 NBA Draft. He did not make the team and was sent to play for the NBA Development League’s Fayetteville Patriots.

For the upcoming season, the Los Angeles Lakers are in need of making some adjustments to their rotation now when Andrew Bynum is healthy. Bynum was sidelined almost the entire second half of the last season and never got an opportunity to play with Pau Gasol, whom the Lakers acquired after the all-star break.

After spending the summer in a feud with the Chicago Bulls for a long term contract, Ben Gordon is expected to attend media day and training camp this week.  He will sign a one year qualifying offer for $6.4 millon by Wednesday and become a free agent at the end of this season.

To start, the team’s first-round pick from Italy, Danilo Gallinari, will not be ready for lift-off in the near future as he is still hampered by back problems.

About Us

NBA Rumors was created by three college grads who played Division III NCAA basketball for Berkeley College. Back then, basketball was our life. A day did not go by without us talking about what was going on in the NBA.

Today, we are all working in our respective industries in Midtown Manhattan. And two years after we graduated, basketball started to fall out of our radar as we started spending more time in the office and less time on the court. Therefore, we created this blog to reunite our passion for the love of NBA and basketball across the world.
